The Undefined Stamp Carving Kit
Anyone who truly knows me will tell you I live for planning events, vacations, and get-togethers of any kind. The anticipation and planning makes me feel giddy and alive.
My very best friend (since the third grade!) is getting married on August 1. The day she became an engaged woman I started scheming plans for the bridal shower. What did I ultimately decide the theme would be? A picnic dinner . . . followed by an outdoor movie under the stars. I had to plan something unique and fun for my very best friend—of course!
It was really easy to do. I just hung a sheet from the awning off my back porch, borrowed a projector and speakers, purchased healthy snacks and some theater treats, and finally, set up a popcorn station.
When I heard that Stampin Up! was going to be offering the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit, a light bulb went off. “Why don’t I design and carve a unique stamp for the popcorn bags . . . and let the attendees fill them with popcorn of their favorite flavor?” It would be quick to make multiple bags and would add a fun personal touch to the shower. Done and done!
Surprisingly, the carving was simple and easy—even for a photographer who worked hard to earn B’s in college drawing classes. I traced and colored in the design with a pencil, transferred it to the rubber, and began carving. Super easy! The popcorn bags were a breeze to make, as well. I used only three products: my customized popcorn stamp, the Real Red Classic’ Stampin’ Pad, and Tag a Bag Gift Bags.
The shower was a hit! All the planning paid off when I saw how excited and appreciative my friend was. The guests loved using the popcorn bags. They were the just the right size and highlighted my personalized stamp perfectly.
As the sun was setting, the girls filled their bags full of goodies and got ready to relax under the stars—and watch a classic movie featuring a bride who was planning her wedding. Can you guess which movie it was?
Do you have any plans for using the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit? We’d love to hear about them!

*Note: The Undefined kits come with gray rubber, not red as shown above. Jen's popcorn stamp was carved from an early prototype.
